The Jamie character has to be like 40.

Regarding Mars, Nola seems much more sophisticated and mature than him, I get it, it's her rotation of men, sort of her secret sex life. And men and women all have different and conflicting taste in men, it's just hard to see the attraction. He's for sure the odd man out. But, that dude could never hang in circles with her and her friends, he acts like he's still a teenager.

Jamie 40's. Possibly. I thought more so 35. 38 at the latest.

I do agree Marz just doesn't vibe with Nola's circle of friends. While Nola is 'sophisticated' I do find her lines quite shallow. They seem like the latest 'woke' phrases.

I also found her character a tad uncouth at times.

Out here in my damn drawls
I watched like 20 minutes of the 1st episode off the strength of the OG, but I don't want to see anymore :camby:

She's on the way back from the airport and wants to binge this when she gets here

Wanna sip this Nyquil and knock myself out, but I owe her one for sitting back and watching Vikings season 4 :francis:

Funny that you say that because of all the dudes, I felt like Mars had the deepest connection with her and was there for her the most. Dude was extra as hell but he definitely held her down especially when he was trying to find out who defaced her art. On the flip side, I didn't buy Mars being the ex of her bougie friend at all lol. No way a chick as stuck up as that would date a dude like Mars, maybe hook up but not date

Just finished episode 8, Two ''Esther eggs'' I noticed that yall may have overlooked,

The barber chair in Nola's house is the same chair that was used in Spike Lee's ''Crooklyn'' movie.

Spike Lee makes a cameo as a bartender in episode 7 (I believe) as ''Joe'' The bartender

Pretty good series, I'll finish the next two episodes at a later time.

I've messed with and been cool with chicks like Nola and they are shallow as fukk, and just as a general matter straight up selfish a$$holes. shyt never bothered me because I'm a selfish a$$hole myself, but I don't hide behind some grandiose self narrative...like nah I'm just a a$$hole sometimes. The reaction to when the principal told her the story irked the shyt out of me, and I am not sure if the writers wrote that scene to make you walk away thinking "damn Lola doesn't have much empathy and lacks tact" or they wanted the audience to admire the bluntness.

Just watched episode 1, some quick thoughts.

Nola is really pretty, if she had some tiddies though :takedat:. I could do without the septum ring as well.

All 3 dudes seem annoying off jump, especially the conceited one. I imagine their characters deepen over the season though.

As someone who used to draw and wanted to be an artist as a kid, seeing her artwork was :ehh:. Impressive.

It's kinda cool, they showed the artist cover after playing the song quickly - although they were all fairly well known songs.

Probably goes without saying, but don't watch this with anyone you're not comfortable viewing sex scenes with :skip:

That ending :picard:

I liked the original movie but I'm not a fan of tampering with classic stuff

I don't know about this.

Plus wasn't the original about an artsy thot who was basically just playing n1ggas throughout the entire film?

Not sure I care about that sorta thing in 2017 but I can see chicks in this IG/Social media era eating it up

The trailer dropped a mention of sex positive polyamory or some shyt which already made me wary, but this is exactly who I've been seeing hyping this show on SM so I'm not really here for it. I dunno, maybe it's good, but there are so many themes I just can't relate too that I just see myself being annoyed. Might check it out if I get some free time with nothing else to watch though.
