I don't think the Coli hates it cause nobody has seen it yet. With that said QT "Hood Pass" has been temporarily suspended for his N-word obsession and we are waiting to see if we revoke it permanently, lol. Spike and Tavis aren't making it easy for him though. Also just cause a Slave goes and kills some Slave masters isn't all it takes to make Black folk happy about a movie. We have to see how it's done and portrayed 1st.
1 strike already is using the "White Savoir" plot device that Hollywood is obsessed with. Did Django really need a German White Guy to train and help him. The biggest reason I think Will Smith didn't take this is cause of "Bagger Vance" in which he was a slave Ghost. Also he did a western with "Wild, Wild, West" that flopped for Will standards. Spike dissed Robert Redford too for creating what he called "The Magic Negro".

I think a lot of people apply racial undertones in situations where there are absolutely none. It's 2012, you really think Directors are trying to put in underlying racist metaphors in their movie? You think Quentin Tarantino was really thinking, "Oh, I'm going to use the White Savoir plot device here so I can covertly insert a racist metaphor conveying that black people need white people's help to do anything!" What about the fact that Django is a slave and would obviously need to be trained to use a gun? There is only two problems I see when facing this situation.
First,
Whites are going to do whatever they want regardless,
lets get that out the way.
1. There is a generational gab between blacks who support this film and who does
not as a whole. Only the ones who want to see this movie were born in the 80's and after.
2. If we blacks, have a problem with whites making a slavery film, then we need to study are history as a whole.
We hate movies about slavery and the way it depicts us, but chose to not acknowledge are african story as a whole, only our african american story.
We need to create our own films by us for us.
We need to create films that not only displays african american history, but african history as well. No matter if its on the big screen or straight to dvd. We need to support us.
The other problem we have is acceptance.
If its not done by whites, its not valid.
Look at it like this,
we work so hard at a job where you are only the black person at.
Remind you come from the hood.
You make enough to move out,
Move out the hood,
to the burbs.
Next to others who do not look like you.
Your kids goto school in the burbs,
they have an opportunity that you never had.
You are comfortable,
You feel like you made it.
Your job feel like it is done.
More blacks move to the burbs.
Whites move out.
To the hood,
Rebuild your hometown that was once bad,
Now is the new burbs.
You are back at square one now.
Point is,
With so much technology and creative minds,
we can use these tools to rebuild are past and present truthfully right.
But we became comfortable and lost.
We just want acceptance.
If you are tired of seeing slavery movies being made,
take it into your own hands.

The Klan wasn't created until the after the Civil War. Why does "Django" need to be fictional? Why not create a movie Nat Turner movie? Make it the black version of Braveheart. You know Hollywood would not want a movie based on a REAL black character killing cacs.
Here's a question. We don't want anyone telling any stories about us. Why are we not making them then? Everything doesn't have to be a huge Hollywood blockbuster. Low budget, award winning films are being made about all kinds of subjects all over the world. All talk, no action. Instead we get a million hood movies about nothin.
