What exactly should he say? Should he go at Obama because gangsters are killing each other?
His father has dedicated his life to that shyt, he's seen it with his own eyes.. Why would he criticize him for not completely solving one of the hardest and most persistent problems of any city? He's criticizing people making money of exploiting the very same cats problems that his dad is trying to dead. If his dad could get 100 billion dollars to fix the problem, he most likely would. But this is not elementary mathematics, it's some of the hardest structural problems and they are subject to laws and budget constraints.
You could be inhumane like in NY, give everyone 20 for the petty crimes, remove affordable housing and let the police harass people. That's a quick solution to reduce the problems and shift them to other places, or we could just kill everyone, that's another solution. You should do some research about his dad, he could be in Washington ballin right now. Lobbying for oil companies or whatever, but instead he and the mayor created a new office that connects directly with the people. So that they can voice their opinions directly to the "people in charge".
Why would he go at Obama when my post is primarily concerned with
LOCAL government ?
And
WHY shouldn't he be critical of
LOCAL government ? That's one of the primary reasons
Chicago is in the predicament that's it's currently in. I mean if memory serves me correctly
even the way the city is/was designed was around avoiding minorities and keeping them
as the de facto second class citizens.
For all intents and purposes we know that Chicago has been and currently still is facing
massive issues involving education, true gun control, funding, jobs etc.
These are issues that I personally feel eclipse a movie and then some.
I'll readily admit that I don't know much about his father or what he's achieved but I will say that
it doesn't appear to be the torch that Chance the rapper is carrying and it's primarily what this
thread seems to be about. Which is why I think if he has any criticism to throw about, it certainly shouldn't stop at Spike lee.
And frankly, I don't think Spike Lee's movie is about exploitation. I haven't seen it yet but
judging by the post
@SunZoo made, I get the feeling it isn't nearly as bad as other brehs
are saying it is.
Dumbest shyt I've read on here in quite some time
How in the world is that "Dumb" ? You asked why he could be seen as a fraud or fraudulent, I gave you an explanation.
And instead of trying to understand my reasoning or why I think what I think, you did the typical Booth thing.
In reality Rappers in the past like Sista Souljah, :

Sister Souljah moment - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Chuck D :
Interview: Chuck D | The Progressive
And Yo Yo :
Yo-Yo (rapper) - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
All readily participated in the political process realizing it's importance.
They didn't just play up how "awoke" or "conscious" they were in their lyrics.
I realize the booth is a half step from an outhouse when it concerns discussion
but there was hardly anything "dumb" or "stupid" about my post.
