You don’t have to do a death of Spider-Man for miles to be a playable character.

And fan service isn’t always a good look. Fans can’t always get what they want every single time just because they want it. I don’t believe in that. Yes the symbiote story has been done before in games but insomniac hasn’t done their version of it. They’ve even said they didn’t include it because it deserves its own story and it’s a suit that actually has functionality. Why bury it that way?

shyt I want the suit from Spider-Man unlimited in the game but it ain’t happening. It’s cool. Let them cook.
With the cape effect and possible stealth mode at least :noah:

Yup lol people are so fukking impatient and whiny.

And it makes being a fan of games and the gaming community so unfun to be a part of
Here's the problem with yall logic on this. And its not that YOU personally had the opinion Im about to talk about but it is a majority opinion when it comes to developers and games in this generation. We have seen historically over the last 10+years, developers become more and more disingenuous with the product that they put out because of their ability to control the consumer and take advantage of the fact that they can deliver a sub-par or incomplete project to the masses...charge an exorbitant amount of money (considering) for a product that they know they no longer have to to make a deadline to give a product the finish the consumer deserves.

Obviously there are some developers who really know their consumer and you can really tell that they kept this in mind. In mind, meaning "Lets make sure we deliver a COMPLETE experience to our supporters when we release this game". God of War is an example of this. The lack of DLC (which I normally would scoff at because I know how incomplete games tend to be) was met with indifference because of how well they developed the game. They simply finished it. When you have a game at launch that we already know is getting DLC and what it is exactly (prior to release mind you) we can tell that often times, most often really, developers simply designate certain parts of a game that might have been originally a complete game, as being marked for DLC. "Ok guys, good job, we've finished. Now take this, this and this out and make it DLC."

That doesnt mean that all DLC is like that but you can usually tell. Fighting games are the absolute worse at this. You get a 10mb data file for a new character you paid for and you realize that the character was already in your game but locked away and that 10mb data file was simply a digital license to access it. shyt like that. Xenoverse 2 is a game that I thought handled paid DLC development perfectly. Thee you had a game that had a completely unique story but the series had progressed well beyond when the game was developed. Yet they constantly added new characters, new stages and challenges as DLC to keep the game up to date and fan service for new characters introduced to the franchise AFTER the game was out well over a year later. Im ok with that. But we know that they are the minority in that regard.

I enjoyed Spiderman. But the game felt nowhere near a full delivery as say GoW or HZD. Hell I have beat HZD twice and have yet to even start the DLC. The first sign to me that Insomniac was no different than the rest of the developers in that regard was the Black Cat missions in the campaign. And Silver Sable basically vanishing when it made no sense to. You can not tell me that it wasnt obvious that it was intentionally lacking because they planned to release the DLC about her and wanted that to be a bag for them. Thats a big fukk you to us because it shows that they are willing to compromise the quality of the game for monetary gains. It wasnt extra content. I strongly feel it was something taken from the full game, then fleshed out more since it was DLC. And for as big as this game is, this DLC has been sub-par. A bigger sign to me that this was originally in the game (my opinion of course). Defintely feels like this was campaign missions and therefore not needed to be fleshed out. Story-wise, there was no reason for Black Cat not to be in the campaign or for Silver Sable to leave out of nowhere like that. Except to remover her for DLC.

Spiderman is a great game, I enjoyed the shyt out of it, couldve been better but was good. Happy I bought it, happy to platinum it. But what theyve done, in no way makes them immune to the criticisms that developers across the board get when it comes to DLC and incomplete games being sold ass full games, then making us pay $90-$100 just to get a complete $60 game. Its predatory and the industry standard. nikkas complaining about suits is the least they deserve as an industry. I know this is more than you brehs are talking about and this sint directed at yall, its just that yall spoke on a particular angle that I wanted to address altogether. I respect yall opinion but people NOT complaining is the reason why micro-transactions in games are so bad and full games are released incomplete.

So yeah, sometimes nikkas by whiny as hell but that doesnt mean they arent justified often. Thats my pocket change.:yeshrug:

I can see that. But I think there’s a better way to go about it than to be whiny and demonize and be immature. If you want to have an honest adult convo with another adult there’s a good way to do that and a bad way. The internet often picks the bad way which is my main problem.

I had no issue with Spider-Man at all. Didn’t feel incomplete to me. I got a complete peter Parker story that satisfied me and then I got to play around in that world once I was done. It’s the only game I’ve ever got a platinum for.

But obviously you or others can and do feel different; that’s cool. That’s what makes the world go round. But acting like the villagers in Frankenstein is the wrong way to voice those feelings and get what you want

Screwball is the fukking worst. The fukking worst. The missions aren’t even bad. She just makes them excruciating to get through. Like a cotton swab with no cotton being jabbed into your ear, over and over.

If I ever hear someone say “lulz” in a game again... :hhh:

These motherfukkers on Twitter bytching about suits. We all SHOULD be bytching to make sure the sequel has no more MJ sneaking missions, and no more fukking Screwball. Between Miles and Yuri/Wraith, their services are no longer needed.

Silver Lining was the best of the 3. It was also pretty tough. I died 2x through the run.

Also it was the funniest. Spider-Man and Sable are exact opposites so there was some nice comedic interactions. Yuri Lowenthal is the GOAT Spider-Man to me bc of this.

I’m not nearly good enough to platinum but I don’t need to. I’ll stick to trying to platinum Persona 5

Great game great DLC. I hope we get Miles as Spider-Man and Venom (somehow) for the next game
