At it's worst, it's the second best game in the entire franchise. Imo, it's easily the best. The side missions leave a lot to be desired (and that's putting it nicely) but everything else from the story, to the traversal, to the combat, all the way down to the the graphics is good to great. More importantly, I think this was the best Peter Parker since the animated cartoon from the 90s. I think you'll enjoy it if you're a Spider-Man fan.

Also, low key, it's kinda nice being a good guy again in a game.

Truth be told, I'm getting sick of anti-heroes in general. We've become oversaturated with them. That's why Captain America is my favorite character in the MCU. Feels good to root for a guy who's morally good, and not some deeply flawed person again.

I'm gonna go ahead and say it. The game is great, but swinging mechanics in SM2 are better. This feels more like USM, which was still good.

I gotta play Spider-Man 2 again because I been seeing the same thing with its swinging mechanics being the GOAT
