Finally saw it

It was good not better than infinity war or BP to me. It was a really short movie and I never felt like the villains posed any real threat to any of the spider mans. I didn’t feel like the other Spider-Man got there shyt in. They were more like supporting comedians.

4/5 I compare this movie more to the dc animated films then I would to the live action movies.

But everything you said is cool man. That's your opinion though. It's very possible for other people to have differing opinions and they came to them objectively. Can't assume the opinions are slanted or not objective unless you can break open peoples brains and peak inside.

Ultimately, you gotta see the movie and decide for yourself though. Having this debate with people who have seen it while you haven't means you're just arguing their opinions on something you haven't seen
So after seeing it it’s a good movie but it can’t be the best superhero movie to me cause it’s a cartoon. I can only compare this to other cartoon movies. And it’s 3 on that list at best.

That’s real. I disagree for reasons I already said but I feel you

I struggle with the liveaction vs cartoon argument too.

Like, on the one hand Spiderverse and Batman Mask of the Phantasm are about as perfect movies for those characters as it can get. I really think Spiderverse will go down for me like MotP, which is one of my favorite movies ever.

But I do always go back and forth on whether it's fair to rank the live action movies against cartoons. The parameters and probably most important limitations are just so different. Even with CGI, the cost and effort of integrating CGI with live action is just a completely different business than into animation.

This directly effects the story you want to/can tell.

As a pure experience I think Spiderverse might be a top 3 comic book movie ever for me, only eclipsed by Mask of the Phantasm and Superman. For that reason if somebody would ask me to make a top 5 list of CB (or just in general) movies I would include them unless there was a segregation between animation/live action.

I feel like it's comparable to music - people still argue over whether Hip-Hop is "as" musical as some other genres and while we all love HipHop there IS an argument to be made there -but for me the EXPERIENCE is more important than the details which is why for me a DEATH CERTIFICATE is ranked higher than KIND OF BLUE or SONGS IN THE KEY OF LIFE or MOZART etc.

I watched this along with The Punisher S2 Trailer and it's seriously 1-3 Penis Parker.

This looks Good but I'm :mindblown: at the Timeline.

Saw it a few days ago. 8.5/10.

I thought it was great and I know only a little more than your average guy off the street about the franchise.

The post credits is probably the best I’ve ever seen. :russ:
