"Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse" 2018 animated film thread

I wasn't expecting this movie to be that great when I first heard about it. I was wrong--this is a great flick. IMO it was better than Homecoming.
They did a great job with Miles' character arc--seeing him put on the black suit for the first time really gets you hyped. I also liked that Miles had Steve Ditko and Brian Bendis as contacts in his phone.

The fight scenes were lit too

I never thought a animated film would get my eyes wet, i didnt cry like a bytch, but my eyes did get watery

- miles finding out prowler is his uncle then watching him die (apparently comic book readers knew this I HAD NO IDEA. Also just found out donald glover played prowler in homecoming and calls miles in a after credit scene)
- leap of faith moment and miles getting his comic book cover

Miles Morales is a legit spiderman now brehs, my 5 yr old daughter who has a tomboy streak about her and always loved spidernan now says shes miles morales when shes jumping around Shes even told me n my baby moms that she wants to be miles for halloween. I guarantee that miles morales spidey suit will be a hit this coming halloween.

They better get that oscar
