Brehs..... this movie was made with love. :wow:

-The art style is incredible. Every thing pops out at you. Extra kudos goes to the character designers who did an INCREDIBLE job designing Miles, Gwen, and making them dress like actual teenagers in 2018. Loved how each of the alt. universe Spider people had their own distinct design that purposely clashed with main universe. Not to mention how they adapted several Ultimate Universe designs into the film (Scorpion, Green Goblin, Miles).

-Soundtrack was great too. Once again Marvel/Sony are doing gods work tapping into youth culture and reflecting that in their films soundtracks (Spider Verse and Black Panther).

-My favorite part of the film has to be the writing. The best part of the super hero film golden age is that we're seeing writers and directors play with the concepts and stores from the comics instead of doing straight adaptations. Spider Verse could've just been a film adaption of Miles Morales's origin story. Instead the writing team decided to merge 3 separate story lines from two separate universes (Miles Morales Origin story, Ultimate prowler story arc, spider verse) and tweak all of them to fit. The result is a very fun and multi layered film that honors the core foundation of each story theyre pulling from.

Only con would be I wasnt a fan of Liev Schrievbers "italian greaseball" Kingpin. It was kinda jarring to see Fisk (who normally speak in a very haughty, proper, old money Connecticut accent).

Wished we could've gotten more outta the other Spider People and that the Prowler wasnt killed off so quickly. His theme and character design was so demonic :sadcam:

Overall a awesome film and even better as a lifelong comics fan. Best Spider Man movie ever IMO. *fukk it changed my score to 10/10, movie is perfect and had no business being this good

Went and saw it for a 3rd time.

Noticed so many things I overlooked the first time.

The thing I liked the most about Miles Morales is that he not sum walking corny caricature of what sum white guy THINKS a teenage black kid acts like......he acts like a regular teenage kid.

i gotta rewatch this cuz i kept falling asleep. I was just tired so i wont blame the movie. By the end i thought it was good though. The hyperbole in this thread is wild though. I see why spidey is so iconic. The stans are real. Nothing about this moved me like in BP or IW. I gotta watch it again though.

Incredibles 2 had that Pixar Not Toy Story sequel-itis that Monsters University and Finding Dory had. I'm not putting the Cars sequels in there because I thought that whole trilogy was :scusthov:. Then again, I can't complain, because I really wanted a Incredibles sequel. :yeshrug:
The Screenslaver ambush with Elastigirl was by far the best scene for me and I just found out they took out the strobe effect for all of the scenes. They toned down scenes in an already underwhelming movie. :mindblown:
