Not one clap in the audience at the end. A lot of groans and moans. My son was and is still pissed. He gave it a 3/10 saying it's not a full movie. :heh: I loved it. I give it at least a 9/10.

Edit: He gives it a 7/10 now. Even caught him slippin saying its better than the first cause we got to see Miles as Spiderman more.:youngsabo:

Between Dune, this, and F&FX, yeah i am getting tired of not getting endings to my movies.

there is rationale why but I don't have to like it

Even though the Dr. Strange "What If" episode showed us an example of if you break canon, that universe gets destroyed, I believe Miguel is an unreliable narrator. His problem is that he believes he can dictate what's canon when no matter how futuristic his tech and the fact he's FROM the future, NOBODY CAN PREDICT WHAT IS CANON OR NOT. You cannot base it off certain patterns or trends because not every universe is the same as the other which in this movie have proven as such. The prime example is the origin story of Miles, which Miguel accused as him being an anomaly. Miguel claimed that Miles wasn't supposed to become Spider-man and the Earth-42 doesn't have a Spider-Man because of this. But wouldn't that alone be so-called "breaking canon"? But Earth-42 wasn't destroyed, it only is different due to there's not having a Spider-Man. And to go further, Mile's Earth-42's father was killed anyway. Gwen's father who WAS A CAPTAIN quit his job. The events that got the original Spider-Man killed in the 1st movie when you think about it would have happened regardless if Miles was there or not. Even the radioactive Earth-42 spider was ALREADY THERE which means it was DESTINY for Miles to get bitten by that spider. Yet, and still Miles ORIGIN STORY went basically beat by beat like any Spider-Man story. He was a teenage social outcast from his school who's very intelligent. He got bit a radioactive spider. His uncle was killed which he feels responsible. He gains his heroes journey to become that "friendly neighborhood Spider-Man". So, he's technically BEEN sticking to canon. The threat of his father being killed wouldn't be canon nor it would have been POSSIBLE for that to be canon it was GWEN'S FATHER who always dies per said canon. So, even though what Miguel is saying that canon should not be broken. There's NO WAY it can be regulated or accurately predicted what's canon and what you can changed.

Really good movie. I liked a lot of the themes. They nailed the coming of age aspect. The dynamics of miles and his parents was done really well. From all sides. Relationship between father and son; mother and son; and parents/son. Miles comes from good stock his parents cool AF. The school guidance counselor scene with the blank paper was great foreshadowing.

that guidance counselor wasn't shyt trying to make their family seem like that :francis:

I liked how his roommate was aint shyt and didn't wanna help out but was rocking his Js :russ:

The animation was incredible. Probably the most visually stunning I've ever seen.

Indian spidey was hilarious:mjlol:

The movie had a lot of humor in it. Plenty of lines where I was the only one laughing tho; I think a lot of it went over peoples heads. The theater laughed at the most obvious punchlines though.

The soundtrack was really good. IDK if it was the theater I went 2; first time I seen a movie NOT in dolby in a long time; but the volume was WAAAY 2 low. I'm gonna say it was the theater hopefully.

The "ending" caught me off guard but I can't think of one flaw in the entire film.
