That's a change they made for the movie. In the comics, he's from New York.

I mentioned this before in this thread, but I think they made that change as an nod to Hobie's IRL origin. When Oliver Coipel was creating the character design, he was originally creating a design for Spider-UK, but an editor at Marvel saw the design and thought it looked like a new York punk rocker.

Just got back from watching this. It’s legit one of the best movies I’ve seen in a minute. Only thing I didn’t like was that it ended as to be continued. I’d watch it again tomorrow.

I gotta watch this movie again. Miles really deserves to be Spider-Man. Since towards the ending of the first movie and this movie, he literally changes and saves people's lives. He made Peter B change his mind about being a father, he got Gwen to open up and give friendship another try, he made sure to help the other Spider people get back to their universe and in this movie, he literally saved another Spider person's loved one and got other Spider people that actually wants to save people like him and going against other Spider people that just wants people to die for the greater good. I can't wait til Beyond The Spider Verse comes out.

Miles is literally the spiderman of his universe but the spider biting him wasnt intended BUT I also think the reason for that is more complex than even Miguel KNOWs... the 3rd one with the explanation is gonna be crazy i have theories...

The MCU Spider-Mans are pretty good but they never truly captured the essence of the character the way these movies do, I think the best Holland performance was actually in Infinity War. Funny enough I think that's where Doctor Strange was at his best also.

The best live action joint for me is still Spider-Man 2 with Tobey.

The Mount Rushmore of Spider-Man films are all done by Sony. MCU could never
