Just got back from seeing it and enjoyed most of it, but the ending was bullshyt

I'm fine with a story being done in two parts. However, if you're going to do a 2-parter, do it like Infintity War/End Game. Although they were 2 parts of the same story, the 1st part had a satisfactory conclusion. This movie just flat out stopped at the end of act 2.

As stupid as this pun was, I got a big ass laugh out of Peter Parkedcar :russ:

I also marked out at the Donald Glover cameo

I said the exact same thing to my wife. Better than 2

Trying not to go overboard, may have to give a second watch but this could be a top 3 comic book movie ever too, I went into it blind without watching any trailers or reading any plots, really haven’t seen an audience so engaged in the theater since Infinity War, instant classic.

This was a gorgeous movie! Really next level animation and I love all the different stylistic choices to distinguish between characters and worlds. The art design alone should win awards.

I’ll be honest and say that for the first half of the movie I was not as invested in the story. It didn’t hold the same charm and relatability as the start of the first one. Perhaps it was the sheer volume of quips. Of course its Spider-Man and there are many of them so there’s going to be a lot of witty sarcastic humor, but even the villain was making jokes. At some points the quips were coming so fast from so many characters that not only could I not really hear all of them but there was no time to process some of them. I thought that took away from the story. Related to that I was in a Dolby theatre but had trouble understanding Gwen sometimes. Not sure if was because the actress was mumbling or if it was the sound mixing but I felt like I was missing important stuff. However, the second half of this movie is where things really come together and then go far beyond expectations. :banderas: Just wow! I do wonder if I would enjoy the first half more now that I’ve seen it all. Probably. In it’s entirety this film plays like a masterful symphony. You don’t quite know where it’s going but then it’s starts to build and it keeps building and building until it reaches something that has you on edge.

I think I’ll give it a 9 for now but that may go up with more viewings.

Best Spiderman Movie ever, Movie of the Year, and we back and bout to run it back next year. They put their foot in this shyt. Had three directors, godlike animation, soundtrack packed as shyt and an all star cast. When Miles decides to go ultra travolta and change his destiny the movie went to a whole other fukking level. I'm blown away.

What I loved most is that the movie never lost sight of the central story of miles and gwen's familial tension. shyt was beautiful. I gotta put some time in between the rewatch to catch my breath. whew

Damn that ending :picard:
Could you imagine ending up in a world where not only your father is dead, but you meeting an evil version of yourself?

knew he was in the wrong universe when his unc asked him about his hair…soon as i saw his silhouette in the shadows i was like that’s evil multiverse miles…:damn:

my sis said it would be a dope story arc if good miles made a sacrifice and stayed on earth 42 to be that universe’s Spider-Man and let evil miles go back to his universe so evil miles could have that relationship with his pops again…

This is the greatest Spider-Man movie ever

*for now…if beyond ends up living up to its potential :wow:

at the end they hit you with the  that spider was the whole reason for the movie. I think because of the trailer people thought the movie would go in guns blazing but the first act they lay everything out nicely.
Gotta make the audience feel the connection and it did (for me) so it's starts slow but then when everything is setup they were like aiight now let's go in guns blazing. :blessed:
