Yeah, this was straight heat. You know a sequel is doing something right when I’m heavily debating which film is #1. As of now I think I’m leaning towards the first joint as my favorite still and one I can watch over and over again as a standalone. That being said, this whole trilogy is en route to hit something different. So glad the wait is less than a year.
They did Miguel right here. He’s so damn intriguing in this.
Shoutout to whoever co-signed Gwen’s universe resembling a dripping watercolor painting. That shyt was
Honestly all the visuals were insane, but this one stood out to me the most. Went hand-in-hand with the mood. The way the whole background became clear white as soon as Gwen embraced her pops for a hug.
The villian was nothing special. Maybe being a non-comic book, I didn't get it. But honestly, it's nothing memorable about him. Not saying he was DC villian bad. But it wasn't that far off from the last Thor movie in terms of a villian.
Spot had me in addition to just coming across as straight up goofy in the beginning.
When he warned Miles of taking him seriously down the line, I honestly thought dude was bluffing. That is until his music hit in the vision sequence.
This franchise has a real knack for nailing down villain themes. That shyt gave me goosebumps in the same way Prowler’s did when he was chasing down Miles in first joint. Now I can’t wait to see more of the Spot.
Wow that was excellent, 10/10 for me. I usually don’t like animated movies but I watched the first one on a whim this week so I had to catch the new one tonight.
I didn’t think they would out do the first one but
The fan service Easter eggs in this was just
Like I could put in the spoiler tag the amount of Easter eggs is in this but it’s not enough. No stone was left unturned when it came the overall lore of Spider Man.
But I will say this..
Yes they mention the events of “No Way Home,” they show glimpses and clips from Tobey and Andrew’s Spidey movies but that’s about it.
The way this is going, I wouldn’t be surprised if all 3 of them do indeed make an appearance in the finale.
The animation is just …I completely understand why they pushed the movie back. The amount of detail they put in to the animation of this is on a whole other level. They deserve an Oscar for this…
The cliffhanger ending had a similar feeling to “Infinity War” when it comes to the reaction in the theater.
When the ending happened this dude got up and yelled, “fukk THAT !!!! HELL NAH !!! HELL NAH !!! HELL NOOOOO !!!!!”
When it’s all set and done, because I’m sure “Beyond The Spider Verse” is going to be on a whole other level as well. The “Spider-Verse” trilogy is gonna go down as the greatest Spider Man story ever told..
