Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse [June 2nd 2023]

It'll definitely do well, just depends on how well.

First film did 385 million worldwide on a 90 million budget. That's fantastic.

The budget for this film though is 150 million... which means what was once a pleasant surprise BO return will now be seen as a bare minimum expectation to surpass.

And its part 1 of a duology (or part 2 of a trilogy)

I'm a much bigger spiderman fan than mario fan but breh, Mario already did almost 3x what the first into the spiderverse did...and it just came out in Japan yesterday...it may do as good but the idea that this will crush mario is pretty wild...

Wasnt alot of hype around that movie coming out. People slowly begin to see that film after it was out of theatres due to word of mouth. And its almost unanimously beloved by everyone who saw it.


And this might sound farfetched and like a hot take. But I think Into The Spidervese is responsible for the overwhelming success of No Way Home that did 2 billion. Due to the multiverse themses of that movie.

That Flash trailer generated BUZZ but I agree that the hype for this one is far bigger than Into the Spider verse. I want this to be successful so I'd love for this to come out of no where and clear a bille on some Pixar shyt
