Miles is a household name now and the studios are gonna want to capitalize on that once this trilogy is over.
Honestly, why not at this point. We’ve already been through countless adaptations for Pete.

Sony knows they can get a billion dollars out of Miles if they give him the MCU stimulus package, that's the major thing that will drive them imo.
Across the Spider-Verse will finish at 600+ million globally on a 100 million budget, as an unconventional movie of sorts. Meaning, it's a "serious" animated film that doesn't have the typical art style, simplified plot points, nor "aww that's so cute" gimmick characters (think "Minions") for small children/families... but it also isn't the live-action cgi-fest with all the bells and whistles to cater towards adults. And yet the appetite for the character and story was still so strong.
