i guess i cant judge until i see it... these bad reviews will hurt the movie's sales tho. Weren't they going for some record?
I don't think they ever assumed it'd beat Skyfall..well the studio never did but according to deadline, there are people in Hollywood who think it will. The studio always figured that it wouldn't based on the fact that they've got competition that they didn't have last time (The Peanuts movie opens Friday too and the last Hunger Games drops in a week or two weeks) But they already crushed buildings in London so I think they're happy. It'll still be the 2nd largest Bond opening ever but Skyfall was an anomaly for the series. They've never made 300 million domestically, even something as beloved as Casino Royale, which got better reviews than Skyfall. It was just the perfect lighting in a bottle scenario of the 50th anniversary, the Adele song, the reviews, etc
