Spartacus is basically a cartoon, entertaining in a mindless sense but entirely cliched, formulaic and cheap. To suggest it is one of the greatest programs ever made is just being silly.

ive seen both, GOT isnt a bad show but it isnt as riveting or thought provoking like yall try to pander. Its certainly not as entertaining as other HBO shows either.

I'm 5 episodes in TRYING to see what y'all see. I'm not that motivated to keep going though lol

Some of the comments in here are crazy. Acting like if someone finds GOT boring that they don't like well put together stories that have depth. Be real GOT isn't some deep show, it's a fukking fantasy. I love it myself but that doesn't mean I can't find faults in it. Not all the characters are multi-dimensional and intriguing.

And then people saying the acting in GOT is some above and beyond shyt. Come on now, not all the actors in GOT are good. Just because its a HBO show doesn't mean all the performances are stellar. I don't think I have seen a character representation in GOT done better than John Hannah's representation of Batiatus in Spartacus.

I like both shows about equally, but if both were on at the same time, I'm watching Spartacus and that's probably because since it was based on historical events I can relate to potentially being a slave if I was alive in those times. As a result I find myself a lot more invested in the characters in Spartacus than in GOT.

Nobody said all the actors are great....but the sum of the acting/actors absolutely shyt on sparties from what I've seen so far....I mean...can you honestly dispute that?

I'm just talking quality....if you prefer the style of sparty more than thrones...that's fine....but if you can sit on here and say Spartacus is a higher quality show...you ain't being real with yourself.

The same muhfukkas that think 300 is a classic movie...or cut a movie off if there isn't some crazy fight scene in the first 15 minutes Smh.

I understand these shows are definitely apples to oranges....but your judgment and taste has to be questioned if you don't think game of thrones is of higher quality across the board.

Literally the ONLY thing done better in sparty is the fight scenes.

Nothing else is done better.....from acting...to story...to visuals.

But whatever. I realize I am in a sparty fan heavy thread I guess....

the story of slaves turning into gladiators then rising up and killing their masters an joining up with other slaves and fighting against the evil empire is a worse story than some medieval fantasy ish?
