Then I found out how much $$$$$. College Mouzone didn't have the bread to join and honestly....I don't like spending that much time around other men like that. If they check them in to the ER, the chapter will get sanctioned or shut down. One of my boys who pledged got paddled so bad over 8 weeks that he couldn’t walk. “Frat” drove him and his line buddy to the ER kicked them out the car, left them on the curb like that scene in Trainspotting, and jetted.

These extreme hazing rituals are outdated and we're never really necessary to join an organization. I'm not going to be a hypocrite as I have multiple family members who are in frats/sororities and it has been a boon for them professionally and personally but this other shyt that goes with it it unnecessary and it always has been. The US college system was never meant to be taken seriously academically.

I just found out recently that Harvard had to be embarrassed nationally (The Education of Henry Adams, Eliot Reforms) before they started making a rigorous curriculum a priority.

Before that, it was the old white boys network, openly, that it really still is, and was always intended to be, designed to horde resources and wealth among a select few Europeans, just like every American institution, outside of land grant, A&M universities, which were designed to keep them fed off highly skilled labor and mechanized farms.
