I hate how every time there is a tragedy related to "hazing" in the black community it turns out the tragedy was "young black men in a university beat another one to death" in a confused and misguided attempt at building character and comradery

I've always hated these silly hazing rituals. Fraternities need to evolve from this.

These are adults.
I roomed with dudes who pledged. I mentioned before how a member who was attending the law school "kidnapped" my roommates and provided them with haven to recover and study.
He had their best interest at heart, likely having gone through the same stuff they were going through in undergrad himself.
People in every organization are individuals , including those who are bullies by nature.
When I was in college I thought about pledging but I was never okay with letting someone put their hands on me.

When I was in college, a breh Lost his hearing in one ear permanently because of a hazing incident. Rumor was, they had all the pledges lined up, with bags over their head, brothers would come up behind them and disguise their voice and if the pledge could not guess the right one, they would get punched in the head!!???
But this dude's eardrum burst and they stopped him from getting treatment fast enough and an infection set him and fukked up the hearing in that ear.
Of course it was the pit bulls of fraternities, Omega Psi Phi and once their national chapter got wind, they come down and shut the chapter down . I think a few got charged too, but it was hush hush though.
My boy did not give a FUKK though, he stated that dumb nikka paid for that shyt: and fraternities are basically paying for friends and sometimes you get what you pay for.
