Somehow a Dinka wearing a cowboy hat goes over the head of some people in this thread that say that there is no Western influence involved

Believe that western governments and their elites don't exploit African countries with rich natural resources brehs

i sure as hell never said there wasnt any western influence, i said that the only reason south sudan exists is because of bush and obama running interference, and i gave both of them props for it and the south sudanese aligning themselves with the us, isreal and the east african community is a good strategic move

the more south sudan becomes part of the global capital markets and global trade networks the better because capitalism (free trade, private property, economic freedom) and education/knowledge is the key to developing south sudan

1.So you admitted the creation of S.S. was because of the West involvement.
2. There is no such thing as free trade and economic freedom.

You didn't prove anything. With a few sources and a whole bunch of "That's not true", you didnt show anything of the such.
1. Does West means U.S. to you? Last time I check the West is European included. They did. Where is your update on the cancellation of the contract?
2.. First Alliance was with Israel as it has been proven the flags waving the day of the independence.
3. I've been to a few African countries for trips and business....Most Africans who spoke English did it for business but the locals and the majority don't speak English but of the ethnic dialect. It's pretty sad when you are claiming these countries speak the language through-out the land when that isn't even true at all. Have you heard some of the EAC's speak english? It's not even good.

1. The fact that SS was arguing over the details of a contract contradicts your assertion that the SS were naive and western puppets. I dont have any further comment about the contract, the SS know what they are doing, they are an independent country they should decide by themselves the ultimate fate of the contract. But the point is the article contradicted your assertion plain as day

lets be real, all you do is throw out key words like "imperialism", "resources" and then hope they stick, in this case it doesnt stick, the very article you posted contradict your assertions

2. I didnt know waving a flag was how alliances are made, in that case the first alliance was with the united states

3. thanks for sharing, but like i said the official language of all countries in the east african community except burundi is english, therefore it is a good thing for south sudan to also make english their official language as they pivot away from islamic north sudan to east africa and the west. I am not sure why you continue to whine after you have been proven to be wrong, your feelings or opinions arent going to change the fact that english is the official language of just about every member of the east africa community, of course english is the language of business, that is the whole point

1. not only do i admit it, i celebrate it, what i said is the creation of south sudan is one of obama's greatest foreign policy achievements

2. in absolute terms no, but as a matter of degree you can have more or less free trade and economic freedom, im advocating for more

1. South Sudan wasn't a creation of it's people gaining their own right to freedom but a U.S. creation to benefit the allies. This is why S.S. has engulfed in violence in itself.

2. It doesn't exist on any terms....period.

1. First of all the people of south sudan have been fighting against northern sudan since sudan was created, but they never had the military ability to be independent until the US started backing them. I agree the US had some geopolitcal interest in backing them and i support the geopolitcal reasons for backing south sudan. I am not denying us involvement or us interests, i approve of it

secondly sudan itself is a colonial creation, sudan has no more legitimacy than south sudan itself

thirdly the civil war is a bump in the road, over the long run south sudan will work things out

2. Yes it does, and again the article you posted is evidence of the increased free trade and increased economic freedom of south sudan after independence, in fact south sudan has one of the fastest growing economies in the world http://www.mapsofworld.com/world-top-ten/world-top-ten-fastest-growing-economies-map.html (thats not saying much because they start from zero, but they have a good start)

1. Show me proof that S.S. and North have been at each others necks since the creation of Sudan. So the only way of independence was because they needed a military? :stopitslime:

2. That is your link. The terms free trade and economic freedom don't exist in real life unless you have economic power and wealth and you aren't black. Lets get real.

1.
First Sudanese Civil War

Second Sudanese Civil War
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Second_Sudanese_Civil_War

2. its the other way around, you can't have economic power and wealth unless you have free trade and economic freedom and education/knowledge

and the original link you posted to supposedly prove that western corporations were running south sudan was simply an article about south sudan flexing their economic freedom to accept or reject contracts and overall economic freedom of south sudan citizens has increased now that they dont have to go through khartoum to make deals or follow sharia law

kin

yo are you retarded? you asked me to prove that the southerners have been fighting since the creation of sudan, and i showed it

all your points have been proven to be erroneous, posting links isnt going to change the fact that southerners have been fighting for literally 50 years

and your link delves into the fact that the root causes is the north trying to exploit the south, do you even read what you post? all you have posted is more evidence of why separation is a good thing

Man, dude acts like a government agent wouldn't be surprised if he is getting paid money for all the shyt he puts on here. He is an elitist that supports white western domination over Africans. Then he tries to disassociate these governments involvement in the creation of South Sudan with economic exploitation. He is actually trying to tell us that the newly formed South Sudan government has the power to tell western powers that they cannot do business with them, when these are the same governments that that created South Sudan. All the west did was give the people a Rolls Royce Ghost Phantom and say "Oh and by the way, you will drive the car while we relax and make merry in the back". The creation of South Sudan is a jedi mindtrick and I am not falling for it.

i have never denied that the the us has geo poltical interests in the area but i think you and other people have a hard time accepting the fact that the us supporting south sudan independence was an instance of the us doing the right thing

even reading links just posted by kingsmen clearly show why separation was necessary

all the us did was give the south sudanese a chance to be independent, the onus is on the south sudanese to make a successful country and fix the current flare up, the onus is not on the united states

Word he didn't even read my links. The links show that the West helped divide the North and South by exploiting the South and Giving Power to the North. When they gain independence, the division was already set. There was no West to say "Fix your difference before making this country independent". They fueled the fire and watched it burn.

anybody reading the links you posted would know you are a liar, your own links show how the animosity goes back 100s of years involving slavery and cattle and the north trying to exploit the south, its disgusting how you are so disattached form reality and/or how you lack reading comprehension

you need to read your own links before you post them instead of trying to throw words around and hoping they stick
