I think it's good that the teacher was showing the kid he has to respect other people's boundaries. A sexual harrassment case is overboard though

He's a repeat offender, and has been told that his behavior is inappropriate on multiple occassions. He's 10 years old, not 2, so unless he has some mental disability (which doesn't seem the case), the teacher is going to know whether or not a child that age has sexual intent. I'msure this isn't the first child that's hugged her, so she'll know the difference.

I'd imagine it's partly because of his age and partly because nothing explicit happened. Perhaps he may be suspended once they make an official decision.

I was fascinated by ladies with huge butts at that age and still am 20+ years later.

He definitely knew what he was doing to a degree.

He might not have been intent on smashing because at that age it's not a concept for most, but those initial belly flutters are present for many.

He just expressed it as hugs most likely.

He just needs to be taught that personal space is to be respected, and liking someone isn't an excuse to breach that boundary.

We had “sex ed” in 4th grade.

Kids that age definitely know what sex is.
