yes, all the above are non-black people with some black ancestry. Usually the family may try to pass them off as black if they grow up in a community of black people but everyone usually knows the deal. The physical features are a dead giveaway most times.

Imagine a south african with green eyes claiming to be black and everyone just letting that slide like its possible :mjlol:

yea but that’s a misleading way to determine blackness

Someone could have a white grandparent but still be dark with African “features” but by your standards they aren’t Black and they’re coloured

society wouldn’t treat them as coloured. Neither would they be treated as if they’re Indian/Asian and definitely not by the police :youngsabo:

that’s why I think American system is more logical

If you black you black. If you not black you white

Indians here think they’re white anyways so just let em:banderas:

bruh you need to get out your social bubble. Police everywhere else in the world do not act like American police. Moreover, police in African countries are 95% black, and there is no such thing as being shot up by police for being black and certainly no racial profiling like that getting pulled over for being black. So yes, they would not be treated as black, because they simply arent and people in African countries accept that fact about them without that kumbaya "we are all the same" shyt. None of this is complicated really, if you lived in said countries you would have an eye opening experience about race classification.

It ain't backwards, it's simple. If anything America is, you have people who are less than 50% African claiming black.

I don’t think they necessarily claim it. It’s just how society treats them and forces the idea of black or white extreme view on race. It’s just a fact of history that won’t change

I agree places like SA have a different history

But regardless you can’t claim biracial or claim having a white side if you look majority black. Obama was just as black as any African American to most racists eyes and Obama ain’t even Black necessarily :banderas:

Black is more of a lived experience out here versus pure ancestry.

You still gotta be black with a lineage to chattel slavery. But genetics are less important.

There are people out here who are proudly black, even though they may be very light skin, etc. Unlike places SA where they self segregate themselves into “colored” to be closer to whites while shytting on black people for personal gain.

Yea but weren’t they just rioting in SA about some black guy getting killed by police or something?

everywhere has the same race issues pretty much. USA just has it worse cause we got the WOAT white population historically when it comes to racism

Again, let's not conflate being light skin with having non-black ancestry. I've got light skinned family with zero non-black genetics.

That's a slippery slope, because now you get people like Drake's kid who, according to the American ideology, could easily be considered black. which, as an actual black man, is quite honestly bullshyt.

She don’t even look mixed like that, could pass for a native South African to me

You haven't met much black South Africans have you?
