As much as I love (or used to) Lupe too many of his fans get caught up in lyricism circle-jerks and forget the shyt has to actually sound good.
If I want lyrics with no polish i'll listen to Kweli or Immortal Technique or some shyt.
As some one said before 3-Stacks is more that likely all around the best of all time...he just don't have the back catalog or dolo work.

No, the lyricism is not subjective. naS clearly has poor command of the english language and uses very few literary devices. naS doesnt have a legendary diss record, he has a record that cockriders cockride... like they say he's a good lyricist then get mad when I quote actual naS lyrics.
Lu got one blemish on his whole career and its still lyrically better than anything naS could ever imagine penning.

I was the one that said 3stacks is the best all around... but you missin the point. If we are talkig about lyricism we are talking about lyricism. But you tryin to make it seem like son is Chino XL or K-Rino or some bullshyt... fact is not only is son the GOAT lyricist, but also what separates him from those bums i just mentioned is the ability to make music.

Dude's last two albums don't say that. Lazers was absolute basura, and F&L2 has no replay value whatsoever. He spent that entire album getting tripped up over his own message.
Face it Wasalu can't go back to F&L1 and The Cool level. Where unlike 3 Stacks or even Nas, they can continue to put out quality work over the course of 20 some odd years.
