EU is a shyt hole. If Europe gave a shyt, which they dont, they couldve come up with $15 measly billions, but they didnt. At their core, Europeans are borderline useless. No wonder it took them forever to get out of their shythole. As usual, the US Europeans are itching for confrontation, completely ignoring that NATO is there for a reason.

Nah, here's the issue. At the height of protests the President signed an agreement with the opposition to form a coalition govt and also hold elections again. That turned into the opposition thinking they won, so the more extremist/hooligan part of the opposition became more aggressive and basically proclaimed themselves as in charge. That led to the street battle between police and protesters and eventually the President's ouster from the country. Klitschko is legit, he is part of the moderate part of the opposition. But there's an element from the west of the country that's very militant and at this point is sayin they're toolin up to take on Russia. Moscow's argument is that a democratically elected head of state was overthrown by a bunch of goons and rioters so they not only don't recognize this new regime, but they are taking action to defend their interests in Crimea and protect Russia from the security risk that Ukraine has become.

The EU/US want Moscow to deal with the new regime, but they don't see the new regime is legitimate so they refuse. It doesn't help that the West didn't at all hide its enthusiasm with what's happened in Kiev which is what's really made this situation one big clusterfukk.
