I wouldn't trust Rackspace's cloud with my Notepad text files. Never mind any kind of serious social/gaming platform.
OK maybe the notepad thing is hyperbole

GTFO

Note: I'm a current Rackspace customer and have been since their cloud solution used to be called Mosso. It's great for development and testing. Not so much so for live sites. That's just my opinion though.

This would kind of be like Samsung going to Hyundai and asking them advice on how to make cars.
They teamed up with CERN nikka, :childplease:
And you telling me It's not good for rumble tumble nikkas?:smh:

They are not providing hardware to CERN. I'm strictly talking hardware up time.

:ohhh: hardware plus CERN internet(don't know if It's possible with intranet) should guarantee that, at least for CERN :lolbron:

Ya what CERN, NASA, and RackSpace are doing with OpenStack is interesting...but RackSpace is getting a lot of flack for leading the project in the wrong direction with a few questionable moves that they've made.

Openstack is more of a response to Amazon Cloud Services more than anything else. Kind of like Google released Open Source Android as a response to closed Mobile OS's.

I like the fact that Sony is going the OpenStack route. But they better bring their own hardware.

You started the bad news, but you didn't drop the total megaton bomb. I'm guessing your saving it for a future post so I'll let you cook :shaq:

Or we can look at a more recent test of these companies where Azure was the winner, Rackspace finished 5th overall

But this stuff is not worth paying any attention to ladies and gentleman. Lets just hope this small company in the scheme of things can compete with the larger companies who have unlimited resources :duck:
