that's why I'm still waiting to buy Miles Morales. shyt still $50, while the main game is $60, but it's known that MM has way less content. these price points kind of made sense for how these games released on the Playstations, but they don't years later on PC

It's dumb for a game that comes to PC years later is full price while the same game is like $20 on Playstation lol. If it comes to PC it should be lower priced off rip. It's like they treat the PC ports as "remasters".

What if Sony adopts what games solely made for PC do a year and a few months after release when they hit consoles at full price. That seems reasonable considering console players have to pay full price for those games.

It should be full price if it launches close to day and date or 3 months to 6 months after. But not on 3 to 4 year games. By that time they are heavily discounted on PlayStation. Plus most people have probably played the game and they lose out on sales potential on PC.

If your a business you’re going to test the waters to see how it can be maximized. Besides look at all the Japanese third party developers that did scattered PC releases from consoles eventually they saw that day and date money and haven’t looked back since unless Sony is dumping money to them to keep it an exclusive.

Hell yeah they should be full priced on PC
fukk them nikkas
Its not a car it doesn't depreciate
plus PC getting the rizzed up version ultra wide 120 hz blah blah
that takes extra effort
That goes against there goal though they want to improve profit margins they can improve it by releasing games closer to Console full price between 3 - 6 months. Ratchet and Clank was a flop because they released the gaming 2 to 3 years later almost at full price. Spider-Man would have been much bigger on PC it was released a few months after console launch. It would have been guaranteed an extra 2 million or even more then what it made after 3 years of being released.

On PC especially the expectation is that game prices should come down rapidly.
That's the problem. Sony needs to adopt Nintendo's pricing schedule for their first-party games, not do the whole Steam sale race to the bottom.

GaaS is one thing, but premium single-player games is another.

The reason why Sony won't release games on PC at less than full price is because the perceived value will go down.

Sony wants to be the Apple of gaming in every way.

Then release day and date or close to it.

They want gamers to double dip. Which is also why they do director's cuts/special editions and remasters/remakes.

Going day and date would cannibalize console sales, because that's how they got people like me who play on PC but also have a PS5 for the exclusives.

Nintendo conditioned their fans to pay top dollar for less content.

Sony conditioned their fans to WANT top content for less money.

I agree sony needs to make that change, they are just gonna have to denounce some of their own pillars going forward. I’m sure the stans will adapt :ehh:

TYRONE GA!
I agree but that was Sony being greedy. That’s why games like Ratchet and Clank rift apart flopped because it was released almost 3 years later and almost full price. Their pricing structure on PC needs changes if they are going to release on PC. Only time it should be full price is day and date or close to it.

But that was them testing the waters. Im sure with Helladiver 2 being successful they will modify their approach.
Rift Apart didn’t flop
