Not really what i mean. It has to be a good game true, but it being a more well known IP means the acclaim and sales numbers it does for being a great game could be bigger than either of those two IPs despite releasing what could objectively be seen as the same quality of work.
For example Uncharted 4 was a classic and won several GOTY awards, sold 15 million copies.

Mannn stop… an Indiana Jones game. Inspired by Uncharted/Tomb Raider gameplay wise. Would be dope af, stop it with this console war bs. The only bad thing I can say about this. Is they better cast a good Harrison Ford impersonator lol.
Yeah, if they can't do some alternate version like the avengers games do with the heroes. he has to look and sound like a convincing young Harrison ford.
Otherwise people will clown it as an inferior knockoff.

Lol naw, sorry but this ain’t even console war shenanigans. I don’t think Indiana jones has clout like yall think it does, especially since thi upcoming movie looks like it’s gonna flop also and the last one was bad. This game was rumored as a multiplatform title for a while and i never jumped out my seat for it.
I feel the same way about James Bond. Those IP aren’t as big as older millennials think they are today

ultimately i don't think it will matter regardless, just saw that Bethesda's is making this. Not sure they are the right studio for a game like this

Specifically Machinegames, who make good first person shooters (i didn’t like Youngblood or New The Colossus that much, but loved New Order when it came out) but they dealt with the whole “nazi killing” subject matter before so thematically its in their lane. Gameplay wise we’ll see but if they make it 3rd person they are going to have to compete with Uncharted and I don’t think MG is near Naughty Dogs level in that regard.

Like objectively and empirically is has never been MORE popular as an intellectual property than it is right now. Even the shytty ass Crystal Skull Indiana Jones made like $800 million, while Disney is giving this newest one a bigger budget than literally every Marvel movie that doesn't have "Avengers" in the title. 
Stay in your console stan lane please pal, when's the last time you even watched a movie (and I don't mean video game cutscenes)?

Indy movies were constantly being shown on cable/played at school, I get that crystal skull isn't very good but neither is pirates of the caribbean: dead man chest, which was comparable to the avengers release.
