PCs (over half of the loss was in the Mobile Products and Communication division)
Storage Media and components (batteries, semiconductors, recording media)

Music
Insurance

Don't forget about Sony Pictures. Everybody tried to cyse the fukk how bad Sony Pictures is doing just because they had 1 bad quarter last summer with "After Earth" & "White House Down" performing below expectations. But Sony Pictures is still profitable by the end of the fiscal year:

Sony sells the most smartphones in the world behind only Apple & Samsung. The doing good in the mobile division. The just need to get their phones out in time in the U.S.

Research and development costs probably cut into profits. That's a short term loss for a longer term gain. If they're smart they'll keep the ps4 around as long as possible because it'll soon be making a sizable amount for them. No need to launch a new console in 5yrs like many want because r&d costs will shrink as profits rise.

umm isn't your cash cow supposed to MAKE money? not lose billions for years like the playstation division has?

They have a lot of electronics included in that figure if not for the PlayStation that loss would be a lot more. Can't blame the PlayStation for that one completely, it's the surest thing they have outside of their financial services division as shown by the movie division being unpredictable as hell.
