Unreal 5 will work on other platforms just not as well when it comes to streaming data. Will this be the deciding factor? Probably not but not even a top specced PC could match that performance.

Which is true because Xbox Games Studios use UE more than Sony. Yes, the PS5 has a faster SSD and yes, the flying part(which wasn't interactive in the demo but we'll let that slide) the PS5 has a better advantage but.... In terms of the graphics/world building the Xbox Series X and PC can easily replicate due to powerful GPU. So again not sure why people keep hinting this is exclusive to the PS5. And rendering>streaming. And someone correct but iirc the Series X has a larger RAM than the PS5 and can use that as an alternative. And not even addressing the new Xbox Velocity Architecture.
And yes a high end PC can match that performance with better RAM. Lastly, the article itself hints that the Series X was not mentioned due to marketing deal. So again I'm confused why the heck people think high end PCs/Xbox Series X can't pull this off when both have a more powerful GPU and enough RAM.
Can you elaborate on performance? Yes, better SSD. But Xbox outpaces the PS5 in both GPU and CPU which are more important for gaming performance. Especially CPU which will be the real next gen leap and not SSDs. Because many upon many devs complained about those shytty outdated Jaguar CPUs in the PS4 and X1. And yes, it will be able to run on many different hardwares. The PS5 will have its advantages but so will the Xbox Series X.

Either way main point was that devs considered CPU upgrade a bigger gen leap than SSDs.
That's with SMT aka Hyperthreading basically if a game uses more than 8 cores
