Remember that the CMA only wanted a garentee that Microsoft wasn't buying activision to remove games from competing platforms but Microsoft refused to issue any garentees.
Xbots swore that they wouldn't do that because it wasn't profitable, they were bringing up statements made by Phil Spencer saying that wasn't their intentions, but here we are.
I have no doubt that Microsoft will attempt to buy other large publishers like EA if this deal goes through. It's crazy how people are ok with a company like Microsoft consolidating the gaming industry because they feel like it's a win in some petty stan war, and can't see how this acquisition war is extremely bad for the industry overall.

If Capcom and square Enix weren't so ingrained in the Japanese markets they probably would've been made a move on them. Only thing stopping them is how rare it is for Japan to approve foreign acquisitions of big Japanese companies.
