but spider-man keeps the rights not those others....

That makes sense though.
I mean to us there all marvel movies, so we can wait and watch others until spiderman comes out.
But sony is supposed to just sit there doing nothing for 6 years or however long making no money off their character?

It was 2 years between releases, same as always and the norm for most film sequels lol

Marvel already has the next two years scheduled. Spiderman 3 was probably not coming until 2022 at the earliest.

SM3 was one of them, It was always planned for Summer 2021, it was the only slot free on the phase 4 board and Sony have them on a summer 2 year schedule.

That’s funny cuz in another threads some of the folks that was kinda laughing at this and celebrating this break up was over there saying “he don’t care, he gonna get his money anyway so he’s fine” or something to that effect.

I could just tell from his press runs over the last few years he absolutely loved not only being part of the MCU but the access and relationships he had with all the other stars. Losing that or not having the accessibility to do more work with them in the MCU would’ve been devastating.
