Sony stans will rationalize anything

In reality Sony probably just doesn't want to spend the money on it. They're selling consoles and making more profit than they've had in a long time.

It's just not worth the investment at this point.unless they see people jumping ship or Nintendo/Xbox taking market share, they'll keep doing what they are doing now

It's actually a no brainier to BLOCK cross play from a business perspective. Allowing the XB1 install base to play with their friends on the PS4 without actually buying a PS4 would hurt sales. It kills incentive to actually grab one. It's especially dumb to allow it in 1st place.


I get it; as a gamer I think it'd be cool. But I understand at the end of the day Sony is trying to push units.

The Rocket League developers said all they have to do is flip a switch to allow cross-play, they just need Sony's approval.

Sony won this gen, but Sony's arrogance is creeping up like they did post-PS2/start of PS3
