That would be nice, but they'd have to make it super easy. The average consumer is not gonna know how to take apart a ps4 and add a new apu or shyt like that. Plus I don't know how you can swap out the current hdmi input and put a 2.0 on thereSwapping parts might as well be a thing next gen.

But the current consoles use gpu/cpu combos right now. So it would be difficult for some. The laptop idea is the way to go though, for sure. Cell phones are about to be more powerful than consoles. At this rate of tech development we can't have the old console life cycles as the hardware will be horribly outdated within no time. Makes sense to go upgradable going forwardwhy wouldn't they do this in the first place
