Something I've noticed about interracial relationships.

True...but this seems to be true for all races but blacks..

If someone black is with someone Hispanic....the same issues come up....same if the person is Asian, Indian or Middle Eastern. There's this automatic worry if the family will be "accepting" of he black partner, but not the other way around.

Has anyone realised its always the black person, male or female that has to prove him/herself to the non black person's family? Not just white but Asian, Mexican etc. He could be a neurosurgeon and she could be a Walmart worker but he still has to worry about whether her parents will accept him, while she never worries about the black partner's family's opinion.

It's like its assumed the black family will automatically accept them regardless and To be honest they're probably right. I don't know any black family that disowned a member for marrying a non black. But the opposite is numerous.

Never noticed this in real life.
When I think about it, its usually a man who has to prove himself to a woman's family regardless of race though, I've done that myself when I dated a girl who was out of high school and working at chik fila when I was just in my 2nd year of college.
You might just be looking at it from the male perspective.

Unless you can read minds, no. Myself, I've noticed most women no matter their color are nervous about meeting their male s/o family, particularly mom. Men have to tangle with the dads.

Black families do disown. Ask your grandparents about interracial relationships. Or better yet read some books on it. I'm sure they're out there.

Not all black folks are friendly or welcoming, nor are they okay with interracial relationships.

This is pretty much my family. Out of my entire family on both my mom and dad's side, there's only one person married outside of our race. We rarely see him and his wife, but when we do nobody ever says anything...to their face.

But whenever there's going to be a family event, the conversation usually goes...
