Really ?? You both aren't baseball experts our pitching , bullpen and we hit a lot of hrs . That's good enough to win in the regular season vs bad teams
Nick swisher feasts on bad pitching that's all he can do . He doesn't even have good atbats vs decent pitching
I told a friend of mine who's a NYY fan after last season that they needed to blow the team up. He doesn't think they will because of who they are, but it's what they need to do. Miss the playoffs for a year or two and rebuild this team like those 90s teams. The whole lineup is filled with all-or-nothing guys besides Jeter and Ichiro and they won't be around much longer. I also can't believe Gardner hasn't been subbed in for Granderson yet.

I can't get angry at A-Rod, he's not on the Boli and he's 38. That bat speed isn't gone and it's not going to come back next year either. Might be a week or 2 where he looks good but he's a platoon player now.
He shouldn't even be in the Yankees plans for next year. Just give him a lump sum of 115 Million and just get rid of him.
The only reason we won is because of Ichiro, we had 2 guys at the top hitting .330 and than Cano hit .700 for 2 weeks. Outside of those 2 weeks Cano was a huge disappointment in the 2nd half. His average dipped all the way down to .290 before the hot streak.
The only way to fix this is to buy themselves out of trouble, if they plan on having a budget. They can go fukk themselves, $1,000 tickets go spend that money.

Drop Martin, Eat Mauer's Contract or sign
Trade Tex, Salary Dump ... The O's or the Nats will take him in a heartbeat

Throw in the pitching staff outside of CC who knows what ur getting from Pettitte,Kuroda,Hughes etc....I didnt think they were going to win the division *shrugs*

That was a long ass rebuild, and that rebuild involves draft picks and developing the system, something people are unwilling to do and then when they're pushed towards it, we expect every minor leaguer to be just like the core four.
I've maintained that the team has young parts, but they're a couple of years away, so in the meantime in order to compete they need stop gaps until they're ready. That's why they wanna lower the payroll so they don't get penalized draft picks, but that goes against what fans want in terms of bringing in names.
@ demanding the team be blown up....and then calling for them to acquire Beltran and Mauer, like you won't have the same old overpaid roster in 3 years

That's the shyt that has them in this mess to begin with. All your plan has them doing is paying about $300 mil more for a team that's gonna wind up in the same place (and you STILL don't have a 1B or DH to boot). The fact is that you hate this team, so the guys you want out nobody wants and the guys everyone wants you don't wanna give away.
If they over-budget, the plan to bring in a new wave of Yankees going forward will never happen, and that's what fukked the team over in the '80s and early '90s. It's time for them to do what they used to be great at: buying low on players and maximizing what they can do while maintaining flexibility. Everyone else you simply have to deal with.
Their pieces don't fit right now. They do have trade assets to help speed up the rebuilding process and i think they are crazy if they resign Swisher and Granderson.
