This whole small sample size thing anymore doesnt hold water. They cannot hit in October. The hitting has been the problem for the last decade in the postseason.

I said before the season even started that this was easily a playoff team, but they probably wouldnt hit in the playoffs. Its mind boggling.

As a Yankee fan, it always lurks in the back of your mind whenever they're regular season bombing teams into submission.

The way I feel about them now is the same way I felt about them in '09 when they won it all to my surprise.

Well, we know good pitching usually > good hitting so it's no surprise that they would struggle to hit as many home runs but damn... some of their numbers are status right now.

The yankees haven't had good situational hitting all year , and they are having horrible atbats .swinging at so many pitches off the plate instead of taking what the pitchers are giving

No adjustments and you can tell most of these guys don't do their homework in terms of who they're facing. They also do a woeful job of protecting the plate.

Im not a baseball expert, but outside of Cano and Jeter, they dont hit during the regular season. Like most things NY, they're overrated. Loaded with overpaid inconsistent hitters.

Truthfully im surprised they won the division given the comp and how weak they're roster looks....Alot of question marks when you look at that roster 1-9...
