No I am clearly saying that people created the hysteria and such a hysteria was needed to have a hour long special to announce what team a guy is going to in prime time in the middle of summer. Anyone who is gonna put on a special such as this clearly isn't being sensitive. Therefore to bemoan these things AFTER watching the shyt is a joke. Only thing people didn't know is what team he was going to and then and only then did the backlash begin so the TV show itself is nothing more than a convenient veneer to cover hurt feelings/disappointment/surprise/fear that came as a result of the team he chose or just plain hate. I always thought it was because of the team he chose. I don't think he would've been as hated if he chose Chicago or New York or any of the other teams that were pursuing him.

I mean I'm sure he still would've had his haters but I don't think it would've been as bad if it was anyone else.

This. The media like pushing the narrative of him falling on his sword in a dump of a market and hated the idea of a guy wanting good teammates and living in a beautiful city.
