Someone explain to me where and how the beef between West and East Africans started?

What OP really means is West Africans vs Horner Africans because when people talk about "East Africa" they conveniently leave out countries like Kenya, Tanzania and etc cuz they ain't "exotic" enough :unimpressed:

No it’s cause it’s being lazy with the geography.

Y’all also assume Ethiopians = Habesha when there are so many ethnic groups in Ethiopia like Omotic people who don’t fit that stereotype. Habesha themselves don’t always fit that stereotype.

Never seen this beef IRL.

Now I've heard some Ghanaians calling Nigerians "frogs" :sas2: and of course Igbos saying all kinds of shyt about Hausa's.

Curious if Eritrean and Ethiopians beef. Haven't seen it here (Dallas) but in a city with more Habeshas (maybe DC?) would it become more pronounced.

No. People associate East Africa with a specific phenotype which is why the people in the memes in the OP look a certain way. East Africa is a large geographical region but most people when they refer to it, are thinking of a certain cluster of people with a certain phenotype.

And who is y'all? I didn't say a thing about Ethiopians :dwillhuh:

That’s y’all ignorance. Are you from East Africa? Rwandans and Burundians refer to themselves as East African with no problems.

Why do you keep talking about this imaginary "y'all''? Clearly I am aware of East Africa's diversity. This whole time I've talking about how people in general view East Africa. Reading is fundamental :unimpressed:

Nuttin just the typical insular crabassery that negroes from the West World gleefully participate in as well.

colorism stemming from insecurity. West Africans feel like East African are snobs and arent black or represent what a black person looks like because they have heavy admixture with arab genes. Eat Africans feel like West Africans are ugly cause they dont have wavy hair, light skin and pointy noses that they got from arabs.

Its a minority of people on both sides engaging in this childish bullshyt though. Majority of black African dont give a fukk about non of that. :unimpressed:

It doesn’t have anything to do with ones opinion on who’s ugly or who’s isn't
it basically comes down to masculinity vs femininity (that’s why the girl who made the post whom is East African used men)
