Sports media loves the flabby euro ball schtick, because of the comedic juxtiposition of the flabby euro player cooking athletic Americans. But when you face a team full of perimeter players, and you can't be hidden on defense, you get exposed. No amount of offense excuses Luka's poor effort on defense.

IDGAF. Giannis still the best player in the league to me. I was never phased by Jokic or Luka like that because to me, you can't call yourself the best player in the league without being good-to-elite on both ends of the floor. Both of them are below average.

Yeah to me it's still between Jokic and Giannis. Jokic can hold the paint when he absolutely has to.

However, you always got to account for where Giannis is on defense and that's a constant factor on a player's mental stack. It makes the game that much tougher to play. People really overlook how much of a factor that is. Jrue and Giannis on the same team is basically like the defensive version of Murray and Jokic on offense.

This is why I don't take y'all seriously. As the first option he's made the Finals at 25 years old and another WCF. At the end of the day, few players can match his résumé. He has to get better on defense and improve his conditioning but I don't take the hyperbolic statements seriously. Last year, y'all clowned Tatum/JB for their own flaws yet they're one game away from a Championship.

I think the injury is overblown....

When he's bringing the ball up, curling off PNR, doing 1 legged fade aways, and playing in the post he looks perfectly fine. Smiling and giggling. But on defense he's so hurt he can't even slide his feet at a high school level?

I dunno breh. Seems like he's just not trying AT ALL. And the team knows he's not because you can see the way they anticipate him giving up on defense and try to help. Usually teammates are reacting to someone getting blown by, the Mavericks are trying to anticipate it. I've never seen shyt like this before.
