Got additional information this afternoon (non FSU and non A&M) that provided more confirmation that Jimbo Fisher plans to accept the offer from Texas A&M. It wasn't a direct source but let's say the origin of this information would most certainly be in the loop.
As I noted in the last update, we probably won't get anything definitive until Thursday (Texas BOR meeting) at the earliest. The only exception to that would be if Fisher suddenly changes gears and decides to stay at Florida State. He can't accept the A&M job, and certainly won't go public with wanting to go there, until that contract is in hand and signed.
This situation places Fisher and Florida State a very uncomfortable limbo period for the next couple days. Not sure how either side handles it because he's still the head football coach, he could change his mind, and he's still under contract. And FSU may not know until late Thursday or even Friday (the day before the final game) his status.
I've been asked a lot about coaching candidates should Fisher take the A&M job. I would like to wait a couple more days to make sure this situation plays out the way it looks before doing a Hot Board, but will throw you one name that is consistently making the rounds (and heard from a good source he'll most certainly be on FSU's short list):

Warchant is saying he's gone as of now.
Real talk, I'd take Pruitt in a second if he wanted to be HC. I'd be cool with Taggart too, but I'm not 100% sold on him.
