Yea players wearing i can't breathe shirts or whatever mickey mouse milquetoast shyt you can think of isnt moving the needle like a boycott.

These players have the power to make their message a god damn world event if they wanted to. They can stop the world any time they want to. Have you heard of "The Decision"? Bron, Kawhi, Steph, etc can have the world tune in to a televised event specifically for social change on any network, backed by nike, under armor, coke pepsi, all the fukking companies they endorse for. This bozo argument of "bbbut the nba games can be the biggest platform" is weak.

:whew:

nikkas was saying you was a cac but cacs dont speak like this :salute:

You’re an NBA player and you decide to step away. What is the social change or trigger that you wanna see that would compel you to feel like it’s ok to resume playing?
Not being the distraction :manny:

If we're being completely honest, things are still rolling because work is limited for many, school is off the table, social distancing has hampered a lot of people's ability to do their normal routines... There's time to think and be purposeful now.

I completely understand why many of these guys wouldn't want to be that first step back towards the status quo - with whatever bullshyt corporate outreach messaging that's tied into that included. I also feel that the health concerns are completely valid too. Either way, the ground is firm enough for plenty of decisions imo

Only bron stans have called me that. shyt on bron's game and youre a cac. Same ones who paint him as the greatest role model for black children since ali are now shytting on kyrie who said he's willing to give up everything he has. AB, Dwight, Myles, george hill - all ignored for their pro black stance.

Bron is the only player who gets praise for being black in the nba and making safe moves. White folks are coming at kyrie's neck and i don't see any bron stans defending this brave black man.

Some more details just to put stuff in context.

regardless of the players reasoning, it clearly wasn't communicated properly to everyone. shyt it seems apparent the NBA doesn't really know what it's doing. it's a mess and there isn't going to even be a real bubble. so if they're still getting exposed to the virus from resort employees who can leave and bring it back, i can see why the players might think it's bullshyt for them to be on lockdown.

i also don't think disney can even force their employees barely making more than minimum wage to live on property, so again no bubble. on top of that, cases in florida are spiking and they are reopening their theme parks... which likely means there about to be even more virus spreading all over that area.

shyt is just rushed/poorly thought out/quite frankly might just be impossible to enact even with months of planning. it seems to me like the NBA would have to run whatever "campus" the games take place on and they'd need to hire their own employees specifically to live there... for a bubble to ever really work and i doubt that's gonna happen.

i haven't been as hard on Silver as a lot of people have on this site, but he looking like a goof on this bubble thing.

Lets be honest none of this reopening has been organized. Thats a problem when you live in a capitalist society and when there is no leadership in the white house. So we have a trickle down shyt show IMO.

You can see this with the entire CDC guidlines being muzzled.

if we keep it real, protesting isn't gonna have that much of an impact either; it's the rioting that's really shaking things up
you sure it's not the video? it's rare to have damn near agreement of who's at fault accross media and politics...there were riots before, but mostly came and went
