Wrong. Shyt can change in a heartbeat. They were supposed to finished the season, and look what happened a few months ago. They can walk anything back and will be forced to lean back.

Just like the breh said above, they’ve announced they’re coming back without a working model. Too many issues at play. New surges of cases in Florida, civil unrest, players wanting certain freedoms, etc. This may be a way they can try for a new season, but that is up in the air too.

In all likelihood, this shyt is a wrap. If somehow they do get this underway, it will probably fall apart
Wrong... no it won’t, advertisers have already hopped on as well as THE ENTIRE FAN BASE...nothing rockin that boat

Look at espns front page nba coverage, these minor tweets y’all magnifying has nothing to do with the people who steer these BILLION dollar businesses......you WANT to see a comeback fail, and maybe it will......but the attempt is going to be made....Disney/espn/abc/nba/turner can’t afford for it to fail through no attempt at all.......

Sources: Significant number of players disappointed about not having a vote regarding NBA’s return

There is a significant number of NBA players who are disappointed that everyone wasn’t given the opportunity to vote on whether to restart the 2019-20 season, league sources told Yahoo Sports.

Last week, the National Basketball Players Association executive committee and its board of representatives approved the league’s 22-team, return-to-play format to be held at the Walt Disney World Resort in Orlando, Florida, in late July.

The complaint, privately expressed by multiple players, is that every player’s voice wasn’t heard for this critical and potentially life-changing vote, sources said.

“What message are we sending by agreeing to this during this time?” a black player told Yahoo Sports. “We’re out here marching and protesting, and yet we all leave our families in these scary times and gather to perform at a place where the owners won’t be at? What type of sense does that make? We’ll be going backwards. That place isn’t that magical.”

Sources said several players have been reluctant to express their views in fear of opposing the superstars who are adamant about playing if proper safety measures are in place.

"But because of the George Floyd tragedy and the powerful movement for racial justice that’s sweeping the nation, some players believe it’s bad optics for a league comprised predominantly of black men to be sequestered in one location for up to three months merely to entertain the masses and ease the league’s economic burden, sources said.

Take for example most regular people aren’t happy with working during Covid and don’t even wanna be going back to work even right now.

One footlocker employee told me today after his store opened back up he didn’t wanna work cause “home was lit” :heh:

Imagine 3 months off basketball relaxing with your family watching everything going on in the world and just dropping it all to get back in shape/move to Orlando and play for an 8th seed or 1st/2nd round exit :snoop:
Yall do understand that these guys are playing as a JOB though, right? They're not trying to win an intramural trophy or some shyt.

Didn't the NBA Players Association poll every single player a month ago as to whether they wanted to return, with the majority indicating they did and also wanted to resume some of the regular season :dwillhuh:

Yahoo is now a part of Verizon Media
“Some guys are going to say, ‘For health reasons, and COVID, and the long-term effects that we don’t understand about COVID, I want to sit out,’” Brogdon said on the podcast. “Other guys are going to say, ‘The black community and my people are going through too much for me to basically be distracted with basketball. I’m not going to prioritize this over the black community, I’m going to sit out.’ And then there’s another group of guys … who are going to say, ‘No, this is the most amount of money I’m going to make in my lifetime. It doesn’t make sense to hand this money back. I can do so much good in my community if I have this money.’

“I think it’s a matter of perspective. I think guys are gathering to really talk about and dive deep into the idea of not playing.“

Everybody has choices in life to make. :manny:
