Ok sir, so if you have an ADOS woman who is making living wage check to check w/ 2 kids, what are you going to tell them to get them up out of poverty?

I don’t tell them nothing at first.

They sit with me and I analyze their budget with my budget chart.

After that I make recommendations and look up potential benefits they can qualify for. I also look to see if they are overspending on anything.

Most people living check to check are usually overspending on something but never realize it because often times than most they are mentally distracted.

For example if I meet a lady living check to check with 2 kids I would immediately try to observe her spending that involves feeding and clothing her children.

Lots of check to check living people do not know how to shop for groceries properly.

I would also look up her cable bill and cell phone bill plans to see how much per month is she spending on those.

Again when it comes to bills such as these^^ check to check people tend to not understand how to downsize on making those cheaper.

For example the other day I was able to call Cablevision and drop my $257 monthly bill to $193. As a result that’s $768 dollars that goes back to me at the end of the year.

People living check to check also do not understand the importance of looking at long term solutions.

Ok breh, so let’s say that mom w/ 2 kids who’s making living wage does all what you suggested. What can she and many other ADOS people in her position, do to get her family up out of poverty? Keep in mind, that same lady belongs to a group who is first fired/last hired, and is typically denied access to loans.

After my suggestions I would advise her on how to utilize her saved money.

To get out of poverty you need more money plain and simple. I would look at her background and see what job she does and ask her if she ever thought of asking for a raise or look into jobs that pay more for her qualifications. It’s all about finding opportunities for this person.

For example if she’s interested I would advise her to go take an exam for a city job that she’s qualified for.

If she passes, perhaps a year she could be hired working for the city and would be making a good salary with a pension.

The mission when dealing with poor people living check to check is to help them understand money and also show them the opportunities available.

Many poor people do not know how to do neither of those.

as soon as any institution is involved, that have to abide by rules and regulations. this is why money pools are work best with small groups with common interests and people to vouch for one another.
The article had orgs involved!

We have Sousou's the fukk are you talking about. All black immigrant groups do similar shyt.. Prollem is where we immigrate too. This easier to do in Miniapolis then Ny or Boston. Once we get here we gotta go to Detroit and Miniapolis, Ohio etc

He’s not totally wrong tho. Despite how broke someone might be they can still handle money better.

The issue is poverty keeps you so busy that you have no time budget and make smart decisions.
This. nikkas think you can't save money somewhere . Get a budgeting app like Mint and youll quickly see how much money you waste on bull

if we tried this people would call us xenophobic and divisive because we didn't include everybody. But since it's other groups doing this, nobody has issues with it. Funny how nobody has gas lighted them about pan-Africanism.
"if , but, if this but that" This why you nikkas partially don't get nowhere. You make excuses before you even try.

I think he’s talking about Jersey specifically. If so. Ricans and Dominicans def have longer history in this part of the country.
Them Germans and spanishes definitely got the group economics shyt on loc. Get a bodega, a meat market, slang coke outta there for a bit and let the children run the store when they get too old then buy houses and buildings.

Not disrespect breh, but as a non-ADOS person you can’t speak on ADOS issues. No amount of money management, will make broke ADOS people’s financial troubles go away without a substantial increase of money coming in.

Imagine if ADOS stopped drinking and smoking cigarettes enmasse. Stopped smoking weed. Your collective situation is dire which is why none of that shyt should even be done ANYWAY. Take that money saved and create a coinjar system. Stop with the excuses besides if you don't do it yall won't make it anyway.

The Arabs and Jews both do this.........

They come here and build up collectively. One dude told me his synagogue sitting on a network, You lose a job or go through hardships, the survival fund is there for you, people cooking and marking on a calendar when the'll be dropping food off, and they are asking whatever they can do to help.

The Arab told me they're looking at buying and building their own development, groceries, gas stations etc. They collected 20 million just last year.

Again this works with Trust, Discipline and Community. Once these folks get paper they aint just spending it out in the streets freely. That money stays in and builds that community. Unless people are talking collectively like this there isn't anything to talk about.
Jews not only do it but scam the system like a muthafukka
