Democrats introduce the Homes Act. Includes building new public housing for the first time in 25 years

Democrats must be getting desperate.

If they're talking about passing legislation that benefits the middle class.

This is what I wonder when people expect the government to fix the housing issue. Federally all they can do is prevent corporations from monopolizing the market and building new projects for people to live in.

How do you stop individual developers from building for profits and for renters/buyers who can afford it from paying market price. The "affordable housing" incentive on multi unit housing seems like a grift and obviously ain't working
