If I turn on network television... what do I see, gays gays and more gays overrepresented in all aspects of the media. Represented in good lights... So I'm not sure how that's oppression. They have rights battles going on with many non-gays supporting them.... and they are abused less than any other 'minority' groups.. so I'm not sure how they feel oppressed. the media for all it's stereotypes often puts on the best face when dealing with minorities of every facet of society. So although the media does a good job of showing them as a part of society they do not show the reality of them being apart of it. You must live in a very progressive neighborhood but that is not the case in alot of the world. Why is it do you think homosexuals congregate in cities instead of spreading out across the country? They feel safety in numbers and most cities are mix of different cultures anyway so they are often more tolerate to there lifestyle. If they were not oppressed then for the past 30 years they would not have to fight for the rights as hard as they have.

I live in a very very very Gay city, so my perspective might be different. With all the crime n all that of Detroit, this is fakkit heaven. The head of our city counsel was gay and we have entire streets dedicated to gay prostitution and random gay people everywhere and many young (under 18) flamboyant gay people. Gay clubs in mass. Even with the no-homo hip hop culture here - shyt is still ok for the gays.
I live in a toyota pryis driving, professor living, homo, hispter neighborhood. So it's the definition of progressive -- lol it make me sick sometimes.. I think all sorts of crazy shyt in my head when I'm speaking to these ultra liberals.

U not solving ish with homos in a country like the US so that's a lost cause that shouldn't take up too much energy fellas. This country, despite its flaws, does allow people to be who they choose to be. I only see LBGT community expanding in the future. Yall gotta relocate to an Africa country or Jamaica to be around more like-minded people on this subject.
