I liked The Force Awakens but it was pretty much A New Hope Redux...Rogue One was pretty cool as well.

Nobody asked for a Han Solo movie. Nobody is interested in star wars films without lightsaber battles. the only reason rouge one was successful because the force awakens was dope and we were thirsty for more star wars. the last jedi was a dud and ppl aren't feeling the Disney star wars anymore.

Naw, the budget doesn't include marketing because marketing isn't decided until after the movie is done.

Marketing is ALWAYS apart of the budget, regardless how how they manipulate the numbers to the public. It's an expense

Nah, it's doing even worse abroad. Some are saying the final worldwide total could be under $500M. It's dead.

Why did it cost so much? We discussed this before basically once the Disney overlords didn't like what Lord and Miller were doing they scrapped a film that was almost done and then went with a safe in-house production with Ron Howard as the puppet.

This was bound to happen. But just like with Justice League, WB had a bunch of other hits so they will be fine and Disney will be fine from this. The Star Wars franchise, however, has been damaged the last two years.

By the way, marketing is never included in the production budget. The production budget is literally how much it cost to produce the film. Marketing is tacked on afterwards.
