Yeah those fights were in the namek saga up to freiza were dope cuz it was like a cross between the more physical fights the series had early on, and the energy beam filled fights that series later adapted to. Like a mix of both styles. Not knocking the energy beam fights cuz most of those were still dope...

I'm saying Cell was fast powerful and had a cool design. They went toe to toe for much of it with cell only edging out Goku. Goku did that instant kamehameha on my mans. It was a beautifully planned fight by the writer. Even reading manga I was excited. So this is gospel?

Not gospel because cell was holding back the entire fight while goku went all out. In the manga, goku got some good hits in but cell was in the control pretty much the whole fight.

The best fight(s) when PL's were roughly the same and people were going all out were , Piccolo vs #17, SSJ2 Goku vs SSJ2 Maijin Vegeta, Teen Goku vs Piccolo at the tournament.

Vegeta and Pui Pui wasn't no fight, that was more like vegeta playing around. He was in his Ali boxing stance and all. Pui Pui was like "this is suppose to be an exibition" while getting his face caved in.

I'm just gonna leave this here.

The first and only time Piccolo was the strongest Z fighter in DBZ since he was a villain.

It may have been for only 5 mins but he gave us one of the most piff fights ever.
At 1:46...

This was a straight up brawl. No super quick punches and kicks to where you couldn't see what was going on. Just brutal punches and body slams.

That Super Namek music...

Edit: there may of been another time he was the strongest but I can't remember.
