Stringer's death was low-Key one of the saddest moments on The Wire in retrospect. Sure he was scum but he was very forward thinking compared to likes of Avon and Marlo. He tried to reform the drug game to stop the bodies from dropping.

In season 3 Stringer and Colvin's storyline parallel each other. Both were trying to change the system for the better.
