this is what the accelerationists on the "left" wanted, they'll gut what's left of the civil rights act next

If I'm remembering correctly, not even Jimmy Dore wanted this stupidity. He denied that the Supreme Court could be compromised because the Dems could just block whoever was nominated for Trump's entire term which was equally as dumb though.

Uh how could the Dems have blocked whoever was nominated? I know that isn't your position but lol

To me this goes back to people sitting on the sidelines and letting Trump be elected by not voting, voting third party, write in, whatever because they didn't see Trump as a threat or didn't care.

Those people chose fascism and the lawlessness we lived through the last 4 years and now the Republicans can cement that with the Supreme Court and their activists filing all of these bogus lawsuits.

It goes back to that election whether people like it or not. That was this country's opportunity to stand up for what was right and they sided with fascists.

Is Dore still trying to front like he is still left wing?

Oh it was definitely moronic. But from the lefties that casually dismissed Trump's threat to Liberals trying to rationalize why Kavanaugh and ACB wouldn't be so bad, we all have house-cleaning to do because the electoral left is way too impotent in its approach and there's enough blame to go around for everybody. It's like a slowburn fascist takeover while roughly half the people with influence would rather do some wishful thinking or apply way too much charity to dummies that either have terrible takes or are bad actors.

And speaking of bad actors, I don't trust the dude that tweeted that ish either. Union busting from Cenk and Nathan really got me side-eyeing some of the only avenues for Leftists to get bigger media looks...word to Noam's seminal work.

Losing 9 US Senate seats in 2014 was the dagger

Dems lose only 4-5 and they may have had the majority into Trump’s term

How do you blame everyone but the candidate who failed to muster enough support in critical states to defeat the most useless president of the past 100 years? :what:

Even more retardedly, you bypass the majority of the eligible public who didn't vote, and the public who voted Trump, to take shots at the supposed people who voted 3rd party? :mjtf:

Honestly I'm not sure why I bothered, knowing who I replied to :mjlol:

i dont know if it will end up being the end-all be-all disaster it sounds like on the surface

first off, it doesn't actually make abortion illegal. it will still be legal in every blue state, and im sure there will be nationwide charities set up to help women get to a clinic. no better opportunity for hollywood liberal activism. frankly, it probably might get more accessible for some people

because minus texas, the only states that are really gonna make it illegal are dark red shytholes like mississippi and alabama, where there are like 2 abortion clinics anyway

There are over 10 states (conservative number) with laws on the books that go into effect the moment Roe v Wade is overturned, outlawing abortion outright.

The influx of women from Texas is already causing a strain on abortion clinics in bordering states.

Plus, even with a supposed increase in charity, the journey somewhere else to undergo a medical procedure isn't easy. What about jobs, family members that are being left behind? Charity won't cover close to enough women left behind in what will be huge swathes of the country.

im pro choice, just trying to look at this rationally. plus, this is even if the SCOTUS has the balls to do it. this is 2021, these judges are pretty well known national figures. amy covid barrett still has to go to the supermarket and shyt :skip:

not to mention that this would be probably the biggest possible midterm gift the dems could get :dead: and it wouldnt just be 22. republicans will have to constantly answer for this nationally. it will be a poison issue for republicans in the swing states

What abortion advocate you know has ever gone postal? Against a federal official? :comeon:

Yeah I think you're overstating the impact this will have on national elections. It wasn't enough to get a shytty candidate in Clinton over the line.

You're clearly illiterate or didn't even bother reading what I wrote before you posted or maybe you're one of the people I was referring to so I elicited such an emotion response.

Thanks for playing
