All he could hope for is the judges to be on his side, because the 2nd half of the fight was all downhill for him

If Kov doesn't negate his jab he'll have a much better opportunity to win. But I don't think he can out jab Ward, and ward figured out how to take away his right hand. I think Ward will win comfortably, but not embarrass Kovalev. I hope I'm wrong though.

I'ma Ward stan but if his right isn't there, and it really hasn't been there the last few fights post-shoulder surgery, then I expect this to be a close fight again. Ward at least knows how he has to fight him from jump and won't need to recalibrate things after a few rounds like he had to do in the first fight.

Ward's right isn't coming back. He's been winning fights with jabs, left hooks and body punches since he fought Froch. He can still rip the right to the body though.
