:ohhh:

Maybe it's him and he just acting like it isn't cause he don't wanna be outed.

I mean it makes sense.

If you worked at Amazon, would you want that attached to your coli account?

I wouldn't :lolbron::pachaha:
based on post history, I think it is him. I understand why he would rather remain unknown though. Sorry to the breh for blowing up his spot :snoop:

Well, not according to a TeamBlind comment I ran across by a "Dr. Acula" working at Amazon. I immediately recognised that name from here and I also remember a post from you years ago talking about being rejected bad for a FAANG grad position that you thought you nailed .....or maybe im mixing up posters:patrice:
I think you got me mixed up with someone else lol. Also, my name is kind of a joke that is popular and if you search it, you'll find a lot of people with the same name online.

I will say, I do work in an industry that...I can't talk much about. I'd let brehs take guesses as to why but I will say its a good industry to get into and once I get certain.. Credentials and more experience, I can make FAANG level salary. Not trying to be cute, would gladly talk about it if I could.

Is it a tech-based job? Or a completely different industry altogether?

I see. Based on your post history i'd say its well deserved because you really did put in the work. :ehh:
Congrats breh. Hopefully I hit those numbers in the next year or so. Im really shooting high, not sure i really have what it takes or just delusional but I've interviewed with two FAANG companies so far even though I dont have a CS background, just a Masters in another STEM degree.

Those lames over on TeamBlind be running Amazon name through the mud. Every time someone mentions Amazon a PIP (Performance Improvement Plan) joke gets mentioned.

As a self study taking a web development course(currently on html and css) when would be a good start to get into freelancing for practice?

Make a web version of a to-do list and make a responsive app, both should reads/writes to a database.

if you can do those things without a tutorial, then you should go into freelancing.

Just started self study, kinda loving this shyt. Sorta doing Odin project since it's free. A lot of the stuff is reading on there(with lil mini projects at the end). Did Html/CSS. Html was easy, CSS was too after I got over flexbox. Made a mock website here (meant for big screens, didnt code it for small screens) When I started the section on javascript it sorta seemed overwhelming. So took a break from it as a whole for like 3 weeks. Tried it a, but reading that shyt for Javascript just fukks with my mental. fukked around and found a torrent for some Javascript Udemy classes. Checked out the videos and was like now this............I can learn Javascript with. Liked the video so much I went and bought the legit copy (Javascript Course) and 2-3 of the top web developer ones that include a wider net of stuff.

This shyt is fukking fun man. Still only on the "fundamentals" of JS but shyt is clicking for me. I'm still following along with the Odin Project too. As I finish a section on JS I go to TOP to do that as well.

When shyt clicks it clicks and it's fun trying to figure how how to do the stuff.

Anyone have experience with Coursera's Machine Learning course from Stanford University? I need to start delving in the topic and trying to find a good resource to do so outside of going to an actual uni course.

Any recommendations would be appreciated.

I don't have experience with the course, but having a background in math and statistics, I can say the following 2 books are all you need to get confident in Machine Learning if coming from a Software engineering background. The 2nd book is critically acclaimed, and rightfully so:
1. Mathematics for Machine Learning
2. Hands-On Machine Learning with Scikit-Learn, Keras, and Tensorflow: Concepts, Tools, and Techniques to Build Intelligent Systems by Aurélien Géron [ see spoiler :mjpls:]

Anyone here know anyone working or anything about Cloudflare's culture and hiring practices? Do they pay well? :patrice: It seems like Imma about to go through another interview process with them cause apparently my resume made it past the auto-reject algorithm or HR since I got an email asking me to submit an online assessment :unimpressed:
